Since 2016, I'm Gerda Pečkaitienė — a Lithuanian teddy bear artist creating one-of-a-kind, handmade teddy bears, each with its own character, story, and soul. This journey began with an unending passion: studying under celebrated Eastern European bear makers, attending exhibitions, collecting books, and endlessly refining the craft of creating truly unique, heirloom-quality teddy bears.

Ancient Traditions, Alive in Every Bear

Every teddy bear is born from time-honored traditions — from drafting the pattern to hand-stuffing with wood wool (excelsior). This technique, preserved across decades, gives each bear its distinctive weight, shape, and personality.

Each of my teddy bears is more than a toy. It is a keeper of childhood memories — a companion whose gleaming glass eyes always seem to understand, and forever wait to be held.
